How to book your stall for the St Peters Street Open Air Craft Market.
We are now open for bookings for the next St Peters St Market and hope we can welcome you. If you have never worked with us before, please read the information below before getting in touch. All ready? Contact us by emailing z[email protected] outlining your wares. Once you have been in contact with usand confirmed we can accommodate you, payment for your pitch can be made by bank transfer to the following account: The Saints Ipswich Community Interest Company, account number 23175049 / sort code 20.16.12 using your trading name as a reference.
We will have 20-30 stalls on the street, each pitch costing £50. Early booking is advised. The pitch fee includes the street closure for the event and a street trading licence. To participate at the event, you will need public liability insurance which may need to be presented in advance of the event. The fee does not include a gazebo or any furniture needed for your stall (bring tables and chairs). Your allocated pitch in the street is 3 metres x 3 metres. If you need more space than this, please have a chat with us prior to booking to see if we can accommodate you. Do you need a gazebo or weights? We can rent one for you which will be delivered to the street (cost around £10-20). Just add this to your order any time up to 7 days before the event. Stallholders are responsible for getting their gazebos up and down again as well as weighting them down. Please bear in mind that a gazebo rented from us takes four people to put up so please be prepared for that by either bringing muscle or asking your neighbours at the market for help. Yes I really do mean four people and I'm not just saying that. No, you really can't do it alone.
This is a craft market with local produce as our emphasis. If you are unsure whether your stall fits into this category, please contact us prior to booking. Your booking will be confirmed in writing within 7 days of payment but we may need to ask you for a little further information before confirmation. Please look out for an email from us, even better, email us your telephone number and a description of the stall to [email protected]
The event starts at 10am and finishes at 4pm. Pitches will be available for you to unload your goods from 7.30am. Owing to the nature of the street plan, you will be sent in advance, a timed arrival slot, to ensure we don't have a traffic jam of traders arriving at the same time. If you have a preference for the part of the street you would like to be on, please tell us as soon as possible ([email protected])
Stalls and the associated licence will be granted in one name only. If you plan to have a joint stall with another trader, please contact us as soon as possible as an additional fee may sometimes need to be paid for an extra licence. Likewise if you need a temporary alcohol licence, please tell us and we can apply on your behalf.
Your booking creates a binding agreement with the Saints CIC and yourselves. A full list of the T&Cs is below, please give it a read. Once a booking is made and acknowledged by email as paid, a binding agreement between the stallholder and the Saints CIC is effected. If we are not allowed legally to go ahead because of local restrictions, a full refund will be given. If you as a trader cannot go ahead, we can refund 90% up to 14 days beforehand. After that, 50% refund up to 3 days beforehand. After this date, no refund will be possible. It is possible to substitute a trader, by a trader subject to written permission of the Saints CIC, up to 16 days beforehand. Substitution after this date is not possible and only the trader named on the booking can appear at the event in accordance with the terms of the trading licence.
Should we encounter adverse weather conditions, a decision will be made by the organisers, following advice from Ipswich BC, to cancel the market. We will give at least 24 hours notice and will contact you via the contact number and email provided by the stallholder. In these circumstances a refund [less the street trading fee] will be given.
